The Ramaiah Public Policy Center (RPPC) under the Gokula Education Foundation (Medical) invites applications to fill two positions (full time) for the project titled “Scientometric and Ontological Mapping of Solid Waste Management” funded by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), NSTMIS, New Delhi.
Solid waste management (SWM) is a critical issue globally and nationally in India. Management of solid waste is complex as it involves many elements and sub-elements. Scientometric and ontological approaches are required to understand the complete system based on peer reviewed literature.
The objectives of this project are (a) to describe the performance and practice of SWM and the role of research and academic in waste management, (b) explain the reasons for not achieving complete SWM, and (c) to develop a roadmap for the changes required in research, policy and practice.
The positions are full time and contractual positions for 18 months with fixed pay. The number of posts and other details are given below:

The candidates should have background in research, excellent analytical and computing skills, and excellent communication and writing skills. An understanding of quantitative/ qualitative data analysis methods, SPSS/ MS Excel, and Scopus/Web of Science/PubMed will be an added advantage.
